Jesus Christ: The greatest gift

As we approach the Christmas holidays, I want to give thanks to God for yet another year of His gracious blessings and steadfast love.

I am always amazed at how the Lord has established Christian Concern and caused it to grow from strength to strength.

There are so many occasions from the past year that we could not have planned or engineered; they were very simply God at work.

I could go on to list all these instances but I want to take the time to thank all our supporters who so faithfully pray for us and donate towards our work so that it not only continues but grows apace.

I love Romans 8:32, which says: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”

I am constantly humbled by our beautiful God and His untiring pursuit of the wayward. At the heart of the Christmas message is the wonderful truth of God's pursuit of us. As Paul says "God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law."

We have received the greatest gift of all in Jesus Christ. I pray you will take fresh encouragement from the gospel this Christmas and wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and happy new year.
