New York Marathon

Printer-friendly version

I run the New York Marathon a week on Sunday!

Running this marathon holds a lot of meaning for me, as it marks a significant stage in both my life and in the work of Christian Concern.

Not so long ago, I thought I would not be able to continue with this work. In August 2008 I was diagnosed with aggressive, invasive lobular breast cancer. During my second session of chemotherapy that year I contracted an infection and became very ill. I had no idea how we could afford to keep the work going.

When I told my staff that I was thinking of shutting up shop, every single person said that they would keep working until there was literally no money left in the bank. Three years on, in God’s goodness I am back to full health and the work at Christian Concern continues to grow.

As a testimony to the Lord’s grace both in healing me and keeping the work at Christian Concern going I will be running the New York marathon on 6th November and I need YOUR support!

I hope to raise £100,000 to keep our doors open so that we can continue speaking out for the unborn child and on behalf of the elderly and vulnerable; for marriage, family and the freedom to live out and manifest Christian faith in the public square without fear of harassment or discrimination. We will also continue to warn and act regarding the inherent dangers of radical Islamism.

Your sponsorship gift will help to make this happen – will you run the race with me and Christian Concern?

Please visit the donation page here and make a sponsorship donation towards my marathon run and play your part in helping individuals and calling our nation back to Christ.

Update: Within the first 24 hours of this appeal we have raised £12,000. Thank you so much for your generosity! It is deeply appreciated and will make such a difference.

You need to get the attitude

You need to get the attitude & attitude right. It's difficult enough to awaken everyday and kick pacquiao vs bradley butt. And without getting the best attitude/attitude you will not do what must be done to proceed everyday. Obtain a number of CD's and books that you could pay attention to or read everyday. On welding schools subjects like confidence, self-empowerment, motivation etc.

You can move from here "you

You can move from here "you are (hopefully) well-rested, well-fed, and well-dressed, lugging the spoils of a lovely visit home in your cute duffel bag"
