Christians to deliver ‘stop gay marriage’ letter to Queen on Coronation anniversary

Christians are meeting outside Buckingham Palace tomorrow (2 June) at 2PM to witness a child emerge from an 8ft scroll and deliver a letter to Her Majesty the Queen.

The letter congratulates The Queen on 60 years since the Coronation and asks Her Majesty to use her offices to protect the Christian understanding of marriage. Her Majesty has been known to intervene through the weekly meetings with the Prime Minister.

It is timed to coincide with the Second Reading in the House of Lords of the Government’s Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill, which takes place the following day (3 June).

Delegates from a Christian youth organisation (Youth With a Mission) will deliver the letter at Buckingham Palace. A child will emerge from a giant scroll to present the letter, signifying the intrinsically procreative nature of marriage and its relevance to Royal succession.

Citizens of several Commonwealth nations will also be there as a visual reminder of The Queen’s worldwide popularity and the global significance of traditional marriage for the welfare of nations.

Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali, originally from Pakistan, will lead a short service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty the Queen outside the Palace after the letter has been delivered.
