Babies saved - 40 Days for Life campaign

Lives have already been saved as a result of this year's 40 Days for Life campaign which started globally last week in 297 cities across 13 countries including here in the UK.  

Last Tuesday, babies were scheduled to be aborted, but on Wednesday — the day the 40 Days Life campaign started — those children were saved from abortion. 

Lisa, a volunteer in Arizona said:  “It has begun. One mother said yes. And then another one said yes – to life! Day 1  ... and the Lord provided two saves!”
 
One woman told volunteers that she had visited the Planned Parenthood clinic three times before.  She said "yes" to life on the fourth occasion as a result of the 40 Days for Life campaign.
 
The vigil participants later met another woman, who was openly troubled – but after a series of conversations, she also had a change of heart and left Planned Parenthood.
 
“The Holy Spirit provided the necessary words to comfort and counsel the doubtful,” Lisa said. “Imagine how much God will provide when we all take one hour a week to pray, fast and stand witness for our brothers and sisters.”

This year, the campaign will run across seven different locations across the UK from 24th September to 2nd November including Twickenham, Birmingham, Leamington Spa, Leeds, Manchester, Hallam and Llanelli.

40 days for life is a locally organised community initiative encouraging Christians to pray for an end to abortion.  The campaign is a cross-denominational, faith-based effort made up of three key components:

• Prayer and fasting: inviting people of faith throughout our city to join together for 40 days of fervent prayer and fasting for an end to abortion
• Community outreach: taking a positive, upbeat pro-life message to every corner of our city through media efforts, church presentations, door-to-door advocacy, and public visibility.
