Charges against pro-life volunteers dropped

Printer-friendly version

Members of Belfast's 'Stop Marie Stopes' campaign have been told that all charges against them have been dropped. Northern Ireland's Public Prosecution Service communicated the news on Thursday.

The campaigners, who have mounted a protest outside Northern Ireland's first private abortion facility since it opened in 2012, had been accused of "harassment". The decision follows last month's overturning of Bernadette Smyth's conviction for harassment.
