Nicky Morgan appoints Stonewall head of education as personal adviser

Printer-friendly version

Nicky Morgan, a leading figure and trustee of the Conservative Christian Fellowship who voted against same-sex 'marriage', was appointed as Equalities Minister and Education Secretary in the recent reshuffle.

This week, she appointed a prominent LGBT campaigner to be her 'personal adviser.'

This follows heavy criticism of her by gay activists in light of her opposition to same-sex 'marriage'.

The new adviser is former Head of Education at Stonewall, Luke Tryl, and he will act on both the education and equalities brief.
