Action needed on end of life care

Printer-friendly version

Over 100,000 people in the UK do not have access to adequate palliative care, a new report claims.

Research conducted by the London School of Economics suggests that those most at risk include ethnic minorities, those living in poorer areas and those aged 85 or over. "These are some of the same groups who would be made yet more vulnerable if assisted suicide were legalised. We need better palliative care access urgently," comments Andrea Williams.
