Renewed call for assisted suicide law change

Printer-friendly version

Over the Christmas period, a group of public figures suggested that Parliament should make time available after the General Election to debate assisted suicide yet again. In a letter to the Telegraph, they wrote that "whoever forms the next government must allow time for Parliament to reach consensus on a safeguarded law."

The call is likely to be reiterated over the coming months as part of a relentless campaign of attrition to weaken the protection of life and we need to make the safeguarding of life an election issue.
