'Anti-terror' laws threaten free speech

Printer-friendly version

In an article for Conservative Home, Paul Nizinskyj highlights the threat that Extremism Disruption Orders (EDOs) pose to freedom of speech. Conservative MP Mark Spencer recently said that EDOs could be used against Christian teachers who say that same-sex 'marriage' is wrong.

Nizinskyj points out that freedom of speech means "allowing families, faiths and communities to raise their children with their own values, not state-mandated and state-dictated 'British values.'"
