Christian Concern supports Palestinian Christian who pleads for protection and freedom of speech

A young Palestinian Christian woman, born in Bethlehem and living in the UK, has appealed for protection for her family members who have been threatened after a YouTube film was posted showing her calling for freedom of speech and women’s rights in her homeland.
Christy, who has also received death threats in the UK after her film went public, has made her plea to the Chief Palestinian Negotiator, Dr Saeb Erekat.
She is calling on Dr Erekat to honor the promise he made to her personally on Al Jazeera TV that in his lifetime, Palestine will see freedom of expression, accountability, transparency and women’s rights.
Christy gave a moving account of her experiences during a recent visit to the Christian Concern offices.
