What the Vicar's vilification really reveals

Printer-friendly version

Philosopher and theologian Paul Helm has reflected on the hostility encountered by Hull vicar Melvin Tinker after he spoke out against York Minster's blessing of the city's 'gay pride' event, highlighting how coverage of the comments revealed category confusions.

Andrew Symes of Anglican Mainstream has also written on the furore, arguing that the real outrage is not the words or argument that Melvin Tinker used but the fact that York Minister celebrated 'gay pride' in the way that it did.
