Koran urges violence, says Queen's chaplain

Printer-friendly version

One of the Queen's Chaplains, Reverend Canon Gavin Ashenden, has told LBC Radio that over 100 passages in the Koran encourage readers to violence.

He explained that Christianity was attractive to him because “it invites people to the extremity of forgiveness and love," going on to say, “If you’re going to invite people to be dedicated ... followers of their scriptures, Christians will go around forgiving people and Islamists will do something else.”
