Parliamentary challenge to use of sharia law

Printer-friendly version

Baroness Cox's bill to challenge the use of sharia law in the UK has its second reading in the House of Lords next Friday (23 Oct). The Arbitration and Mediation Services (Equality) Bill seeks to protect women in particular from the exercise of sharia law in 'parallel legal systems'.

Please pray for the government to support this important bill. You can read more about the need for the bill and the progress of the campaign on the Equal and Free website
