Radical Islam and its invisible victims

Radical Islamism is “at the root of the most pressing problems in the Middle East and beyond” writes Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali, who warns that Middle-Eastern Christians and other minorities are facing genocide.
In a comprehensive article for Standpoint magazine, Bishop Nazir-Ali says his primary concern is what the horrific events in the region mean for what he describes as the “invisible victims” of radical Islam – the minorities and the disadvantaged.
Bishop Michael say the key question is whether the logic of Islam leads as a matter of course to Islamism, with “closed, regressive and monolithic societies” or can it also lead to “open, free and plural societies.”
