Christian Concern and The Christian Legal Centre are the official sponsors of the premiere of God’s Not Dead 2 - the sequel to the God’s Not Dead (2014), and currently the most talked-about Christian movie in the world.

The movie’s storyline could almost be taken from the case files of The Christian Legal Centre.

It follows high school history teacher Grace Wesley (played by Melissa Joan Hart), who comes under fire for answering a student's (Hayley Orrantia) question about Jesus.

When Grace refuses to apologise for quoting Jesus in her classroom, the school board votes to suspend her and threatens to revoke her teaching certificate.

Forced to stand trial to save her career, Grace hires young lawyer Tom Endler (Jesse Metcalfe) to defend her in court.

Endler devises a powerful strategy to show the jury the historical significance of Grace Wesley's classroom discussion: he sets out to prove the historical existence of Jesus.

Just as in the original movie, the sequel both entertains and teaches the audience how to respond to those who dispute Jesus' place in history, and His relevance in our lives today.

'Echoes our cases'

Andrea Williams, Chief Executive of Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre, commented:

"This is a fantastic opportunity to highlight a stark reality facing many Christians today. This film echoes many of our cases, in which clients have faced discipline, suspension and even removal from their professions, simply for manifesting their Christian beliefs.

"We encourage our supporters to attend the premiere and help us to stand for Christian freedoms."
