Councils avoid Christmas greetings

Many councils will be sending cards this year that do not have any explicit reference to Christmas, new research suggests.

A survey carried out by the Christian Institute for the Telegraph suggests that only 56% of local authorities who responded would be sending cards that mentioned Christmas - and only one of those 182 has a card mentioning the birth of Jesus Christ.
