Catholic Bishops highlight 'moral issues'

Printer-friendly version

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales has this week written to Catholics urging them to ask questions of their election candidates.

In the letter, the Bishops placed particular emphasis on the sanctity of life and the centrality of marriage and family. The Bishop of Shrewsbury commented, "No-one expects bishops to offer a political programme at election time but to highlight the moral questions which underpin the public debate."
