New report provokes debate on decriminalising drugs

A Home Office report published this week (available here) has provoked a row between Conservatives and Liberal Democrats about drug policy.

The study examined drug use in different countries and the methods used to control and address misuse. However it stopped short of recommending changes to drug laws in the UK.
