Parliamentary investigation of 'trans equality'

'Transgender equality' is to be the first subject of inquiry for the newly formed 'Women and Equalities' parliamentary committee, it was announced this week.

The select committee was created in June and is chaired by Maria Miller MP who guided the controversial same-sex 'marriage' legislation through parliament whilst she was Culture Secretary and Minister for Women and Equality. The deadline for submissions to the inquiry is Friday 21st August.
