PM cites Britain's Christian values

Printer-friendly version

David Cameron used his Christmas message to speak about the 'very Christian values of giving, sharing and taking care of others' and how Britain reflects them at home and abroad.

The comments attracted criticism from some quarters and you can watch Ade Omooba take part in a Sky News debate on the issue. The question that will need to be probed as the General Election approaches is how comments about 'Christian values' and Britain being a 'Christian country' square with actions such as the Coalition's redefinition of marriage and liberalisation of abortion.
