High Court judgment in 'London Bus Ad' case

Today (30 July), Mrs Justice Lang handed down her ruling in the case brought by the charity, Core Issues Trust, which has claimed that the Mayor of London personally instructed Transport for London to ban its adverts and that he did so for the improper purpose of avoiding a negative media storm and boosting support for his re-election campaign in May 2012. The charity’s ad stated: “Not Gay! Ex-Gay, Post-Gay and Proud. Get over it!”  and was in response to bus ads by Stonewall which stated: “Some people are gay. Get over it!”

Core Issues Trust has been supported by the Christian Legal Centre.
