The Court of Appeal has upheld protection of Sundays as a day of worship and rest for Christians in the case of children's worker, Celestina Mba.
In a landmark ruling, it dismissed earlier findings that Sunday observance was ‘not a core component of the Christian faith’.

The Methodist, Presbyterian and Church of Ireland denominations have refused to support the new Girlguiding promise, which replaces the promise to “love my God” with a pledge to “be true to myself and develop my beliefs.”
Please sign the petition launched by Andrew Brannigan, Diocesan Youth Officer for Down and Dromore, calling for the old pledge within Girlguiding Ulster to be reinstated, with the option of an additional alternative for those who do not want to make a promise to God.
