‘Sarah’ (not her real name) is a survivor of an Islamic sex-grooming gang. Kidnapped at age 15, she was rescued from a horrendous 12-year ordeal after having been subjected to numerous rapes and beatings, three forced sharia marriages, and eight involuntary abortions.

After suffering PTSD and depression, ‘Sarah’s’ two children – born to different members of the gang – were taken away from her after social services declared her an ‘unfit mother’.

The Christian Legal Centre is currently helping and supporting ‘Sarah’ (not her real name), a survivor of an Islamic sex-grooming gang, and raising awareness of the epidemic of Islamic sex-grooming gangs. Now, as more gangs come to light and are convicted, the injustices that exist within our State are becoming ever clearer. The problem is even more widespread than first thought, and the need for the Church to step up and act is even more urgent.

Tim Dieppe, head of public policy at Christian Concern, discusses the government’s response to Baroness Cox’s question to the House of Lords about helping victims of sex-grooming, such as in the case of ‘Sarah’, who is currently being supported by the Christian Legal Centre. He argues that the government is in denial about the Islamic connection to sex-grooming gangs and says it has a long way to go before it really addresses the issue.

Please pray for protection for a precious young woman the Christian Legal Centre is supporting, named Sarah. She has been rescued from a horrendous 12-year ordeal at the hands of an Islamic grooming gang, and desperately needs your prayers.
