The arrest, abuse and acquittal of three street preachers

Christian evangelists Mike Overd, Adrian Clark and Michael Stockwell, were arrested last year for sharing the gospel in Bristol. The court dismissed the case against Adrian Clark, ruling that there was no case to answer.

In February this year, Mike Overd and Michael Stockwell were convicted of religiously aggravated public order convictions. They were found guilty under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 at Bristol Magistrates' Court.

Thursday 29th June 2017, Bristol Crown Court acquitted Mike and Michael of their convictions at an appeal hearing.
