Christians and Candidates 2010

Printer-friendly version

Regardless of which party wins the next General Election, there will be the biggest change of MPs in the House of Commons for over half a century.  In fact, over half of our representatives could be new to the Commons.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Christians to find out what our Prospective Parliamentary Candidates believe about key issues such as:

  • the sanctity of life;
  • the importance of marriage, and;
  • the need for religious liberty.

Each week CCFON will be posting a short video encouraging you to engage with your potential representatives and make the Christian voice heard.

This week, CCFON interviews Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali. Bishop Michael explains why Christians should get involved in the General Election and what they can do to make a difference.

Here's how you can get involved:

  • Host/attend an event- please email hustings@christiansandcandidates.org for more information
  • Contact your Prospective Parliamentary Candidates and ask for their views on the key issues
  • Pray for our leaders and all those in authority

We hope that in 2010 we, the Church, will let our leaders know that we have a voice and that we want to be heard.
