Family and Sexual Ethics

The family is the most foundational building block for society. The loving union of one man and one woman is the normal God-given context for children to be born and raised. This pattern for married life has been under attack for all of human history. Divorce, homosexuality and transsexualism are three of the most significant challenges to God’s pattern for family in today’s society.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

    Nick Gibb, Minister for Schools, has said that pupils must learn respect for same-sex relationships. In a letter to The Times this week, he makes clear that in his view primary schools should be normalising same-sex relationships whether the parents like it or not.     On 1 June, Disneyland Paris officially hosted its first LGBT Pride event, making it the first Disney theme park to do so. A petition that attracted over 250,000 signatures in just three days (and has now reached over 380,000 signatures) protesting the event, was presented to Disney Headquarters in London on 31 May but Disney officials refused to accept it.
