Dr Joe Boot: Why 'utopia' is contrary to the gospel

In this video, Wilberforce Director Dr Joe Boot discusses the subject of 'utopia' - the idea that man can build for himself an ideal world. He references the tower of Babel, Plato's Republic, the works of Rousseau and Karl Marx and other examples.

Utopian-ism strives for a humanistic elite "seizing control of nature" and imposing their "ideal" on society. Joe says this echoes the story of Eden with man wishing to be as God - possible only through gaining total power.
