'Cure not kill' - new abortion centre opposed

Printer-friendly version

Volunteers from pro-life group Abort 67 gathered outside a London GP practice on Wednesday 15th October to protest at the clinic's decision to hire out space to the UK's largest abortion provider, BPAS.

The group is seeking to highlight to the passing public the reality of what will happen inside the building if BPAS is allowed to operate there.

BPAS told one media outlet that Abort 67 had "flooded the street with protesters” and that it had serious concerns about whether it would have to close down its services.

Ruth Rawlins, who coordinates Abort 67's work in London, responded:

"This is the power of direct action! We will continue to put pressure on the surgery until those concerns are a reality and the room for hire is used for something other than killing innocent babies. We know that when people see and accept the truth, minds are changed, lives saved, and societies transformed. A GP surgery is a place to cure people not to kill them, therefore having an abortion clinic on site is a huge contradiction."

A petition opposing BPAS' presence at the practice has gathered over 1200 signatures since its launch less than a fortnight ago. Why not sign the petition now and stand up for the gift of life?
