Olympian ignores abortion advice

A former Olympic trampolinist refused to have an abortion despite doctors advising her to do so.

Jaime Halsey and her husband were told in October they were expecting triplets and then referred to specialists. A 12-week scan showed that one of the babies was 25 % smaller, so medics advised her to abort two of the three babies. "Other people have triplets and I wasn't prepared to abort two healthy babies just to make life easier", she said.
