Stamp out 'gay cures', says Nicky Morgan

Printer-friendly version

Education Secretary Nicky Morgan has said that so-called 'gay cures' have "no place" in Britain and should be stamped out. She added that the prime minister had pledged to tackle "non-violent extremism that encourages intolerance and hatred towards LGBT people."

Andrea Williams responded: "If what Nicky Morgan has in mind is optional counselling offered to those who want to move away from unwanted same-sex attraction, why should that be banned?"
