Prayer Meeting

22nd June

6.30-9.00pm

Emmanuel Centre

Westminster

Discussions of the Coroners and Justice Bill are behind schedule and it is now likely that the crucial issues will be delayed until early July.

The bill in its current form would prevent any Christian openly stating what the Bible says, and Christians have believed for 2,000 years, about issues such as homosexual conduct or even marriage. It could also legalise Assisting Suicide. Click here to find out more and view our action pack.

However, there are simple steps that we ask you to take in the next few days that could have a strong impact on the course of events in the coming weeks.

  3. E-mail us as soon as possible with your name, the name of your church and the number of signatures collected and then post the sheets to:

Prayer Meeting on Coroners and Justice Bill

"I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way."
(1 Timothy 2:1-2)

The Church is called to pray for all people, and particularly for those in positions of authority. There has scarcely been a time when our rulers, MPs and Peers needed our prayers more than now. The political system as we know it is falling apart, and dangerous, anti-Christian legislation is a step away from becoming law. It has crept in under the radar as the nation is distracted by the economic, expenses and election crises.

Please join with us in London as we pray for our government at a critical time in our nation's history.
