Australian Government upholds marriage

Printer-friendly version

The Australian Coalition Government has voted to keep its official position on marriage as between one man and one woman. The decision means that an upcoming same-sex 'marriage' bill will not pass.

Over 160,000 emails were sent through Family Voice Australia, urging MPs to back true marriage. Andrea Williams commented: "This is a very encouraging decision for marriage supporters around the world and shows the effectiveness of collective action."
